BONUS CONTENT-My appearance on "The Paul George Show"
I was honored to be a guest on “The Paul George Show” with the man who played a huge role in my conversion. We talk millennials and the importance of authentic community. Tune in!
For those of you who don't know Paul George(the non-NBA player one), you're missing out!
Paul has played a large role in my story of faith. He was one of the keynote speakers at the conference where I gave my life to Christ so many years ago. He also gave the men's session where I made a commitment to save myself for marriage, signed a pledge card, and gave that pledge card to my (now) wife when I proposed.
I am so thankful for his ministry and how it affected my life, so when he asked me to be a guest on his show, I was in awe. Tune in to our conversation about millennials & the importance of authentic community on iTunes or wherever you listen to podcasts by searching "The Paul George Show" in your podcasting service.
The interview starts at the 10:50 mark.
For more from Paul and I, check out his appearance on the Forte Catholic podcast here.

Forte Catholic Podcast Episode 88
When doing good sometimes makes do bad, Fr. Anthony Sciarappa(the self-proclaimed King of Catholic Twitter) on being awesome and Brian Baudoin on his support of the show and what he would do if he was in charge.
Sooo many voices on this episode! Producer Sam is back! We catch up with her and talk about this new term Taylor learned called "moral licensing," how it may define his spiritual life...and maybe yours.
In the second segment, we are joined by self-proclaimed "Pittsburgh okayest priest" and "gift to the show," Fr. Anthony Sciarappa. He is a hilarious priest and talks about the things he has done that might have been the first time ever in the eternal priesthood.
In the third segment, the newest Patreon supporter, Brian Baudoin, rejoins the show to talk about why he supports the show, favorite memories, what he would do if he was in charge AND invents a new segment specifically to mess with producer Sam.
This was a fun one! Hope y'all enjoy listening as much as we all did recording. Please rate and subscribe to the show wherever you listen to podcasts and share the show with a friend.
Forte Catholic Podcast Episode 87
Surprise guest co-host, the Avengers and the Holy Spirit collide and interview with (another Canadian!) Matt Nelson on indifference & how to combat it.
Lots of laughs in this week's episode as we have a surprise guest co-host(even a surprise to Taylor!) We kick off the show with not one but TWO Forte Five countdowns of Taylor and the mysterious co-hosts' favorite Holy Spirit songs.
In the second segment, Taylor continues his beef with Canada through this week's guest Matt Nelson. But primarily, the conversation is about the role indifference plays in the faith(or lack there of it) in people's lives. He explores this in depth in his new book "Just Whatever." ...but we also try to convince him to move to Texas and away from "Canadia"...and it just might work!
In the final segment, we explore the term "forgotten God" in regards to the Holy Spirit and compare our view of the Holy Spirit to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, "The Avengers."
If you enjoy today's episode, please like/rate/subscribe and share it with your friends/social media followers. Everything helps. Thanks!
Forte Catholic Podcast Episode 86
Jam packed show with convos on Taylor attending a priestly ordination, speaking at a senior's day retreat, attending one of producer Sam's talks and learning a new game called "Google Feud."
We also talk with Pam Marvin about root sin, what it means and how to find healing in our deepest wounds.
Taylor had a busy week so we cram a lot of great stuff into this episode from a recent ordination he attended, speaking at a senior's day retreat, attending one of producer Sam's talks and learning a new game called "Google Feud." We cover it in the episode! It is a blend of cool Catholic truth & insight balanced with stupid games and laughter.
We are also joined by everyone's favorite "second mom" Pam Marvin. She talks about her work with "root sin", what the term means and how recognizing our areas of struggle can help us in our search for holiness and healing.
Sneak Peek...
Ordination=long and awesome!
Seniors day retreat=the older people surprisingly don't hate Taylor
Google Feud=wth!
Relational Ministry=Taylor's ridiculous notes during producer Sam's talk
Bonus Content-Faith journey conversation with Dan
This bonus content of the show is a long-from interview with my buddy Dan who has had an “almost complete de-conversion from Catholicism” in recent years. We hear his story & the things that led to where he is today. My hope in having the conversation and sharing it with you is that it will give us reason to think, wrestle with questions/topics & grow into a more loving & supportive community as a Church.
Howdy! We did a little something new for this bonus content of the podcast. This is a long-form interview with a friend of mine named Dan about his faith journey from growing up in a nominal Catholic family, to priestly formation, to marriage and now an "almost complete de-conversion from Catholicism." He shares his story & the things that led to where he is now.
I was fascinated with the interview because while our stories have taken different paths, I see a lot of similarities between Dan and I in personality & some of the struggles with faith and Church. It is my hope that in having this conversation and you listening to it, that we will hear the things that he struggles with and other issues that led to where he is now and begin to think about how we address them in our own lives and how we as the Church can become a more supportive and loving community.
While Dan and I may disagree on issues throughout the convo, I truly appreciated my time with him & his honesty. He gave me a lot to think about and I hope it sparks thought & conversation with you. If you have any questions or comments about the episode, send it my way on social media or send me an email to taylor@fortecatholic.com.

We talk hilarious notes taken by a young lady at one of Taylor’s recent talks, a twitter debate about a certain part of the Mass and guest Joe Sikorra to share his powerful family story and how God has helped them through extreme hardship.
Taylor is back from his trip to Sioux City, IA for a couple of speaking events and he has stories :) Usually, his "Spiritual Warfare" talk is pretty serious but this group of students made it an absolute blast! In this show, we go through the talk through the eyes of the young lady who took hilarious notes throughout the evening.
We also discuss a recent twitter debate to end a Mass controversy.
In the second segment, I was honored to be joined by Joe Sikorra. His biography alone is impressive...definitely vying for the title of "Most Interesting Man in the World." He shares his moving story of how his family found joy after their hopes and dreams were shattered by the rare, fatal neurological illness of their two sons. What initially seemed to be a tragedy for Joe’s family became a story of human triumph, an outcome made possible by the compassion and mercy of God. For more from Joe, check out his newest book "Defying Gravity."

Fun show this week with Everett Fritz, a convo about the best clip from Spiderman: Homecoming and Taylor's favorite Purgatory joke.
Fun show this week as we(finally!) get to the segment on one of the best clips from Spiderman: Homecoming. We will see how eerily similar this clip is to Taylor's spiritual life, and most likely yours as well.
Then Everett Fritz rejoins the show to discuss the release of his new book "The Art of Forming Intentional Disciples." But first, Taylor teaches him how to open a radio segment(hilarity ensued.) We talk practicals of how to actually get started with discipleship in your parish.
Then Taylor planned on talking about marriage but instead tells his favorite Purgatory joke instead and runs out of time. Totally worth it!

The primary focus of this episode is virtue. What is it and how do we grow in it. Great topic for this spiritually focused season of Lent. We are also joined by Doug Tooke to answer some of our burning Catholicism questions in rapid-fire style.
This episode focuses on growing in virtue always, but especially during this focused spiritual season of Lent. Producer Sam shares what virtue truly is and how to grow in it during the first segment.
In the second segment, we are joined by Doug Tooke, the host of the "Renovo" podcast. Taylor recently found his show and loves it! He talks about things you don't typically hear about Catholicism at Church and probably didn't learn as a kid. We found it so interesting finally figuring out who Melchizedek is and why the heck we use candles in prayer. Taylor throws Doug a random topic and he has to explain it in less than two minutes. He is a champ!
In the final segment, Taylor continues to talk about growth in virtue with some help from a new way of looking at why we settle for sin and how we can truly live out the story God has planned for us.

There's definitely something for everyone. Allison is one of the most passionate, fun and holy people we know so you'll enjoy your time with her!
(37:02-end)
In the final segment, Taylor opens up about his really rough week and the real "spiritual desert" time he went through and how the fog is beginning to lift and what this all has to do with the Lenten season.
